Trek-O-Tel-is a good lakeside hotel to stay in Pokhara. The rooms in the back have a view of the Himalayan mountain range (if not obscured by the clouds). However, part of your view will also include roof-tops that are anchored by stones. The rooms in front of the hotel has a view of the lake along with the street. We stayed at both rooms and we prefer the lakeside view where the towels were whiter, there was no a/c ventilation noice problem and the bathroom window was not broken. We chose Trek-O-Tel over Fish Tail Resort and the Tiger Top property because it is closer and within walking distance to the center of Lakeside (by Boomerang Restaurant). The side street closest to the hotel is a Thali Restaurant that offers a Nepali dance show as well. If you walk further in on the side street, there are a bunch of guesthouses and a french bakery inside the Pacific Guesthouse. They were still close at 7am but were informed that they open at 7:30am for breakfast. We were not able to try out this place
