Day 1: Kathmandu
Arrival
As your aircraft lands in Tribhuwan International Airport
our representative will receive you and help you to transfer into the hotel of
your choice. After a short rest we will start the tour by visiting
Swayambhunath temple which is listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site. The temple
dates back to 2500years and is situated in the hilltop offering the astonishing
view of Kathmandu. From here we will drive to the historic Kathmandu Durbar
Square and get the glimpse of living Goddess Kumari. Return back to the hotel
for overnight stay.
Day 2: Drive to
Pokhara(200kms); 7hours
Early in the morning after having breakfast we will drive
through the foot of green hills following the Trishuli River to Pokhara.
Pokhara is situated 200km west of Kathmandu at the altitude of 827m from the
sea level. Pokhara is recognized among the travelers for its fine blend of snow
clad Himalayas and Snow fed lakes and rivers making this place the most
picturesque place in the whole country.
Day 3: Drive to Sarankot and back to Pokhara
We will wake up very early in the morning and drive to
Sarankot to see sunrise over the magnificently snowcapped Himalayas. Sarankot
situated in the altitude of 1500m from the sea level gives you an option of
paragliding over the lake city. Later we will drive back to hotel and have
breakfast. After breakfast we will set off for city tour and visit places like
David’s fall, Gupteshwor cave and Tibetan refugee camp. Stay overnight at hotel
in Pokhara.
Day 5: Fly back to
Kathmandu
Early in the morning we will take a scenic flight back to
Kathmandu through the Himalayas. As we reach Kathmandu we will check into the
hotel, have lunch and drive to Patan Durbar Square which is one of the oldest
Buddhist cities in the world. Archeologists say that the city was founded in 3rd century and is known for the fine traditional crafts and rich artistic
heritage. From here we will head towards Boudhanath Stupa which is located 8km
east of Kathmandu. Boudhanath stupa is dome shaped monument representing the
mind of Buddha and pilgrimage destination for Tantric Buddha.
Day 6: Drive to
Nagarkot
We will start the day by visiting Pashupatinath Temple which
is situated 5km east of Kathmandu. This ancient Hindu temple which is dedicated
to Lord Shiva is one of the most sacred pilgrimages for Hindus. Situated in the
bank of Bagmati River, in many occasions worshippers take a ritual bath in the
river. The temple is famous for its two tiered golden roof with silver doors
which is further adorned by charismatic wood-work. From here we will drive
towards the medieval city of Bhaktapur which is the home of medieval art and
architecture. The main square contains innumerable temple and other
architectural showpieces like Lion Gate, statue to King Bhupatindra Malla,
Golden Gate, the palace with 55windows, Batsaka Temple and the bell of barking
dogs. In the evening we will drive towards Nagarkot which is situated 32km east
of Kathmandu in the altitude of 2175m. From here one can see Mt Everest in a
very clear day. Stay overnight at hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 6: Free day in
Nagarkot
We will wake up Early in the morning for the spectacular
view of rising sun. As the first rays of the sun strikes into the peaks a
hellish red color slowly lightens the whole Himalaya range from Kanchanjunga
and Everest in the east to Annapurna and Dhawalagiri in the west. After this we
will have our lunch and we will proceed to visit a local school and villages at
the same time we will do some side excursions. In the evening we will hike up
to view point to witness the spectacular view of setting sun.
Day 7: Drive back to
Kathmandu
Early in the morning after having breakfast we will drive
back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel and the rest of the day is
free as you can do some family shopping , roam around the streets of Thamel or
just relax in the hotel room.
Day 8: Farewell
You will be transferred to Tribhuwan International airport
for your onward journey.
