Day 1: Kathmandu
Arrival
As your aircraft lands in Tribhuwan International Airport
our representative will receive you and help you to transfer into the hotel of
your choice. After a short rest we will start the tour by visiting Patan Durbar
Square which is one of the oldest Buddhist cities in the world. Archeologists
say that the city was founded in 3rd century and is known for the
fine traditional crafts and rich artistic heritage. In the evening we will
drive back to our hotel room for overnight stay.
Day 2: Drive to
Bhairawa(380kms); 8hrs via Lumbini
Early in the morning after having breakfast we will drive to
Bhairawa. In the route we will have lunch and visit Lumbini which is the
birthplace of Lord Buddha. The key attraction of Lumbini is the sacred garden,
Maya Devi Temple and Ashok pillar which are erected by Emperor Ashok in 249BC.
Day 3: Drive to
Pokhara(360km); 7hours
Early in the morning after having breakfast we will start a
scenic drive to Pokhara. Pokhara is situated 200km west of Kathmandu at the
altitude of 827m from the sea level. Pokhara is one of the most scenic spots of
the country whose beauty is enhanced by the lakes of Phewa, Begnas and Rupa.
Day 4: Drive to
Sarankot and back to Pokhara
We will wake up very early in the morning and drive to
Sarankot to see sunrise over the magnificently snowcapped Himalayas. Sarankot
situated in the altitude of 1500m from the sea level gives you an option of
paragliding over the lake city. Later we will drive back to hotel and have
breakfast. After breakfast we will set off for city tour and visit places like
David’s fall, Gupteshwor cave and Tibetan refugee camp. Stay overnight at hotel
in Pokhara.
Day 5: Fly back to
Kathmandu
Early in the morning we will take a scenic flight back to
Kathmandu through the Himalayas. As we reach Kathmandu we will check into the
hotel, have lunch and drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square which is the historic
seat of Nepalese royalty. Here we will visit Kastamandap Temple (a temple
rumored to be constructed from the wood of single tree), Taleju temple, statue
of Kal Vairab, Basantapur palace and Kumari Temple (residence of living goddess
Kumari).
Day 6: Drive to
Nagarkot
We will start the day by visiting Swoyambhunath stupa which
is situated in the hilltop in the west of Kathmandu. Commonly called as the
monkey temple, the stupa offers the astonishing view of Kathmandu valley. From
here we will drive towards the medieval city of Bhaktapur which is the home of
medieval art and architecture. The main square contains innumerable temple and
other architectural showpieces like Lion Gate, statue to King Bhupatindra
Malla, Golden Gate, iuand the palace with 55windows, Batsaka Temple and the
bell of barking dogs. In the evening we will drive towards Nagarkot which is
situated 32km east of Kathmandu in the altitude of 2175m. From here one can see
Mt Everest in a very clear day. Stay overnight at hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 7: Drive to Kathmandu
We will wake up Early in the morning for the spectacular
view of rising sun. As the first rays of the sun strikes into the peaks a
hellish red color slowly lightens the whole Himalaya range from Kanchanjunga
and Everest in the east to Annapurna and Dhawalagiri in the west. After this we
will have our lunch and drive back to Kathmandu. The afternoon is free you can
either do some family shopping or roam around the streets of Thamel or just
relax in the hotel room.
Day 8: Farewell
You will be transferred to Tribhuwan International airport
for your onward journey
