Despite you are trekking nearby Kathmandu Valley the Helambu trek brings you in the relatively unspoiled Langtang Himalayan region of Nepal passing through the company of green rhododendron and bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls, beautiful terraced rice fields, and snow-capped Himalayas. Apart from providing you the taste of spectacular Himalayan scenery, the trek also helps you to capture the unique landmarks of the Langtang region and those landmarks include: a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries, Tibetan origin Nepalese communities, several highland Tamang and Sherpa villages scattered on both sides of the Malemchi Khola, and a wide range of cultural practices existed in the region.

On arrival in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by our airport representative. After the completion of immigration formalities, you will be transferred to your hotel. Depending on your choice, you can either visit our office site where you can meet your trekking guide or stroll around the streets of Thamel - a tourist hub in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Prepare for a guided city tour that covers several historical and spiritual landmarks of Kathmandu. The top attractions of city tour will be Pashupatinath- the sacred Hindu temple, Swayambhunath- the famous 'Monkey Temple' and Bouddhanath-one of the largest Stupas in the world. These spiritual shrines reflect the superb architecture of ancient Nepal. After the city tour, you will engage on upcoming trip preparation with your trek members. Overnight in Kathmandu. (B)

In the morning we prepare for an hour’s drive to reach at Sundarijal (1,350m) from where your fantastic trek begins. At the trek starting point, we stroll around a small hydroelectric plant and then your trail following through the pipeline which supplies drinking water for the valley enters into the Shivapuri National Park. While further trekking ahead you will reach at Mulkharka – a small settlement of the Tamang community. Then your trek passes through a forest of oaks and rhododendrons to get you into Chisopani. Chisopani is popular for offering clam environment and stunning mountain views. Overnight at Chisapani. (BLD)

Today at first the descending trail ahead leads you to Pati Bhanjyang (1770m) - a small but charming village on the trail. Then the forth coming journey treading over the delightful meadows and fields in the company of outstanding views of the Langtang mountain arrives at Gul Bhanjyang from where the trail climbs a ridge. The moving forth from the ridge, the trail connects you a pass and then rocky trail makes a downhill journey to bring you at Kutumsang. Overnight at Kutumsang. (B,L,D)

Today your forthcoming trail passes through a ridge line with slightly inhabited area. The journey will be accompanied by a forest of fir and rhododendron. Upon reaching at Yurin Danda, you can see magnificent views of Langtang Himal and Gosaikund peak. Walking forth from Yurin Dada connects you with Tharepati (3,490m). This section of the whole trip will be one of the best ridge walks among all treks in Nepal. Thadepati is the trekking junction of Langtang region from where the trail to Gosaikund branches off. The upcoming trail today ultimately lands you into Helambu – the final destination of this trip passing through the Sherpa settlements in the company of glistening Himalayan peaks of the Langtang region. The descending trail today at first crosses the Melamchi Khola and then the trail climbs up till to reach at Tarke Ghyang – the largest village in Helambu.
Upon reaching at Helambu, you will engage on exploring the village. Inside the village you will reach at one of the oldest and biggest monasteries in the region. Overnight at Tarke Ghyang.

The comparatively pleasant walk today passes through beautiful forests, streams, and waterfalls on the trail. While moving forth, the trail brings you at the Sherpa village of Gangyul from where you will be connected to Sermathang village. On arriving at the village you again engage on exploring the village and the exploration also includes reaching at a Buddhist monastery at the highest point of the village. In the village you even try to immerse into the local culture, take time to interact with locals, and try to understand their culture. Overnight at Sermathang. (BLD)

It will be the final day of the trekking section of this trip since the early morning trek brings down you at Malemchi Pul Bazaar. The Malemchi village is primarily inhabited by the Sherpa community where you can also observe a good collection of teahouses.  From this village you will say goodbye to the mountain trails of Langtang region and board on bus for return trip to Kathmandu. In the evening you will enjoy a trip celebration dinner with your team member. Overnight in Kathmandu. (BLD)

The Nine days’ awesome Helambu trek in the Langtang region of Nepal Himalayas with the collection of memorable trekking experience comes to end today. Since, before 3 hours of scheduled flight our representatives will take you to the airport. On your way to home, we hope, you will have plenty of time to plan your next adventure trip in the Himalayas. Or you can extend your Nepal stay for few more days.

  • Transfer airport/hotel/airport on both domestic and international flights by private vehicle.
  • Full day sightseeing tour in Kathmandu valley with Nepalese cultural guide and private vehicle, including world heritage sites entrance fees as per the above itinerary.
  • 5 -star deluxe hotel accommodations in Kathmandu, Shangri La Resort in Pokhara on a twin share bed- and- breakfast basis as per the itinerary.
  • Accommodation in comfortable lodge or Teahouse while on trek

Cost Excludes

  • Visa fee for Nepal (Please bring accurate $USD cash t $25 for 15 day, US$ 40 for 30 day, and US$ 100 for three month and two passport size photograph).
  • Any meals in Kathmandu and Pokhara other than breakfast (and also in the case of early return from the mountain than the scheduled itinerary).
  • Personal expenses (alcoholic drinks, bottled water, cold drinks and laundry).
  • Personal medical and travel insurance and medical bills.
  • International air fares/ flights (Fares and flights can be arranged upon the request).
  • Hot shower during trekking.
  • Personal trekking equipment.

You are travelling in the remote Himalayan region where you may face unintended hindrances. The unintended hindrances like adverse weather or poor health condition of a trip member or unexpected natural disasters in the mountains may cause disturbances in the trip. In such situation our company is extremely concern about your safety, that is, safety matters than the completion of the trip. The adverse situations may result into amendments in the itinerary or even cancelation of any part of the itinerary. In such situation, your trek leader has the authority to handle the situation in his best. Even if our every effort aims to accomplish the itinerary we cannot guarantee the unpredictable high mountain environment. Hence, it is our kind request to adjust the unpredictable situations in the high mountain trails.
