This trail between Kabeli and
Khaksewa rivers offers an in-depth experience of the culture, tradition and
lifestyle of the limbu people who dominate this region. This 4 nights 5 days
trek starts from Suketar and passes through Lalikharka, Kande Bhanjyang, Simbu,
Phungphung, Phumpe and Mamankhe. The trek ends at Mamankhe where more than 95
percent people are Limbu.
Wide range of cardamom farms, unique Himalayan flora and fauna, untouched
natural landscape, cultural dances such as Dhaan Naach, chyarung Naach and
Bijuwa Naach are the major attractions of the region. During home stay
accommodation and meals are offered in local houses. Tasting the local tongba
(alcoholic beverage) and sukuti (dry meat), interacting with the people and
participating in their regular activities and hiking along unrefined trails
crossing the ridge and gully offers some of the best of Himalayan experience.
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu airport then transfer to hotel after check in hotel meet guide and trekking crew then welcome dinner
Day 02: Kathmandu flies to suketar via Biratnagar (2420m) then overnight at camp.
Day 03: Suketar trek to Lalikharka (Phawakhola) about 5 hours then overnight at camp.
Day 04: Lalikharka trek to Kande Bhanjyang (2129m) about 4-5 house then overnight at camp or local lodge.
Day 05: Kande Bhanjyang trek to Phumpe (1858m) about 7 hours then overnight at camp or local lodge.
Day 06: Phumpe trek to Mamankhe (1645m) about 3 hours then overnight at camp or local lodge.
Day 07: Trekking back to Kathmandu then overnight at hotel.
Day 08: Back to home or connecting onward journey.
