Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
It is a panoramic thrill flying into Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences that stay with you for a long, long time. A representative and driver from our office will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The representative will help you check into your designated hotel. At the hotel you will be briefed about your daily activities.
Day 2: Birdwatching tour in Kathmandu-Shiva Puri National Park Shivapuri Conservation Area
Shivapuri National Park is few kilometers north from the main city hub. Shivpuri Conservation Area covers 159 sq. km, providing the appropriate habitat to plenty of wild-lives within its dense vegetation. Ornithologists have recorded more than 300 species of birds in the area which includes spiny Babbler, scarlet Finch, yellow-bellied Bush warbler, Eurasian eagle-owl, white gorgeted fly catcher, barred cuckoo-dove, Golden-throated barbet any many more. After a day’s bird watching tour in the conserved woods of Shivpuri, you will drive back to your hotel in the city. Day 3 Birdwatching tour in Kathmandu-Phulchowki hill (1520m – 2760m)
Phulchowki lies 18km south east of Kathmandu. The highest mountain encircling Kathmandu valley is Phulchowki 2760m. The place is a paradise for birds. The lower region of this hill is covered on the first day. After, the early morning breakfast you will be driven in a car towards the lower Phulchowki. Phulchowki is an ideal bird’s habitat. Regularly found species of birds include Besra, Black Eagle, Mountain Hawk-Eagle, Kalij Pheasant, Common Hill Partridge, Ashy Woodpigeon, Wedge-tailed Green Pigeon, Mountain Scops Owl, Collared Owlet, Golden-throated Barbet, Speckled Piculet, Crimson-breasted Pied and Rufous-bellied Pied Woodpeckers and Grey-chinned Minivet among others. More than 50 species of migratory birds have recorded to visit the place as the seasonal visitors. After, the long day watching birds at Lower Phulchowki you will be escorted back to your hotel in the city in a company’s car. •
Day 4 Birdwatching tour in Kathmandu-Phulchowki foot hill (1520m – 2760m)
Early morning, after the breakfast, you will drive back to Godavari (Phulchowki foothills). You will also visit the Botanical Garden where more than 100 species of the birds have been recorded. During the tour you will get an opportunity to spot the above mentioned species of birds or you are lucky you may encounter with the very rare species of birds which normally visit the place. After the remaining bird watching tour at Godavari you will once again drive towards the hustle and bustle of the city then to your hotel. •
Day 05: Fly to Chitwan
You will have your breakfast and fly to Chitwan which takes about 20 minutes. After that you will visit Chitwan National Park which is one of the popular tourist destinations. There are separate zones in Chitwan National Park which has been identified for Bird watching. Chitwan National park is one of the best places to study and observe various species of Birds in Nepal. Overnight in Chitwan.
Day06: Fly to Kathmandu
You will have an early morning walk around the Rapti River after having breakfast. There you can spot various species of birds like the Giant Hornbill, Lesser Florican and Paradise Flycatche. After completing our bird watching tour we will fly back to Kathmandu. At the evening we will offer you a delicious farewell dinner. Overnight in Kathmandu.
