Nepal receives numbers of tourists from all over the world during Autumn being one of the peak tourist seasons. Autumn Season offers the best weather to visit Langtang Region. During Autumn the weather is warm and offers stunning views under blue sky.
The temperature ranges from 10°C-15°C (50°F-59°F) during the day. The mornings and nights are a bit colder than the days. This season gives you the most favorable weather for trekking with most stunning and sharpest views of the beautiful valleys and Himalayas.
Spring is the second best season to go trekking in the Langtang Region. During spring the day temperature ranges from 10°C-20°C (50°F-68°F). The days are long and warm during spring and you will have no rush reaching towards your destination. Moreover, you will witness the beautiful blooming flowers along the way during this season. You don’t need to worry about rain or snow during your trek to Langtang in the spring season.
Summer/ Monsoon in Langtang Region
Summer season falls during the months of June, July and August. As summer is the hottest season of the year and also beginning of the Monsoon season trekking is not very suitable during these months. The roads might be blocked due to mud slides and there are chances of heavy rainfall which makes the trial slippery and uncomfortable with leeches, bugs and worms. On the lighter side you can enjoy the greenery and rain washed surrounding of the Langtang region. Though sometimes the fog might interrupt the views but it gets clear after rainfall.
Winter in Langtang Region
The Langtang region gets extremely cold during winter. Winter is the coldest season of the year and it fall during the month of December to February. The temperature drops to minus degree Celsius during the night and day temperature ranges from 6°C-9°C (42.8°F-48.2°F). Furthermore, the heavy snow fall, strong winds and harsh weather condition may create hazards during the trek. However, winter trek in Langtang region can be an option for peace loving and challenge seeking trekkers.

As soon as you land on the Tribhuwan International Airport our representative will pick you and transfer to the hotel. In the evening there will be briefing about the trek.
Early in the morning we will grab our breakfast and start a ride along the north western hills of Kathmandu for Syabru besi. In the way we will witness picturesque scenic beauty of snow clad Himalayas like Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal along with many other minor peaks. Continuing the ride through the scenic foothills and ridgeline panoramas we will reach Trishuli Bazaar where we will stop to have lunch. After having lunch we will further drive to Syabru besi via Betrawati and Dhunche.
Leaving Syabru Besi behind us we will start the day’s trek crossing Bhote koshi River and following the Langtang Khola. After paying our visit to the Gompa of Guru Rinpoche we will follow the stone paved street over Langtang Khola. After crossing the river via suspension bridge, the trail gradually goes uphill to Bamboo. From Bamboo the trail goes through sub-tropical forest of oak, maple, spruce, fir and blue pine which also provide habitat to variety of wildlife including yellow-throated martens, wild boars, Langur monkeys, red pandas and Himalayan black bears. Later the trail gently goes uphill to our camping site in Rimche.
From Rimche the trail steeply climbs uphill through the forest to Lama Hotel. Continuing the climb with the occasional glimpse of Langtang Lirung between the trees we will reach Ghora Tabela(3000m), where the trail comes out of forest. With the continuous gentle climb the valley widens up and we will make our way through few temporary settlements of Yak herders. Lastly we will come along a monastery situated just before reaching our camping site in Langtang village. Headquarter of Langtang National Park; the village has flat roofed Tibetan style houses which has elaborately carved wooden windows. The village is surrounded by stone walls enclosing the fields of buckwheat, potatoes, wheat, turnips and barley.
The trail gradually goes uphill through the small villages and Yak pastures as the valley opens out and reaches the village of Mundu(3442m). After crossing few streams and moraines we will finally get to Kyangjin Gompa which has dramatic backdrop of icefall flowing from the peaks of Langtang Lirung and Kimshung. We will be reaching Kyangjin by lunch time which allows us sufficient time to acclimatize and explore the area. The place offers the awe-inspiring vista of Kyangjin Ri(4750m), Tsergo Ri(5000m), Ganja La(5160m), Langshisa Ri(6427m), Dorje Lakpa(6430m), Naya Kang(5844m), Yala Peak(5500m) along with many others.
Today we will rest, explore and acclimatized at Kyangjin Gompas. We will be visiting monastery and Cheese Factory. Either we can walk up to the moraine to see the invincible ice faces and dripping glaciers of Langtang Lirung or climb to Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri which is the highest point of this trek. Later trek back to Kyangjin for overnight stay.
After having the breakfast we will start the downhill walk observing the surreal vista of snowcapped Himalayas. We will retrace our route following Langtang Khola to Langtang village and then to Ghora Tabela along with many other Tibetan look-alike villages. After having our lunch we will continue the downhill walk to Lama Hotel.
Today’s walk is quite easy which goes downhill through big waterfalls. Making our way through the dense forest which provides habitat to endangered red pandas, boar, monkeys and various other species of birds we will trek to Tamang Cultural Heritage of “ Thulo Syabru Gaun” which is known for its ethnic custom, culture and tradition. Stay overnight at lodge.
From Thulo Syabru the trail steeply goes uphill passing Dursagang(2735m) through the align of chortens. Observing the astonishing vista of Lantang Himal, Ganesh Himal and mountains in the Tibetan side the trail continues to go uphill through the forest of Oak and Hemlock to the top of the ridge of Phoparng Danda(3190m). a short descent from the top of the ridge takes us to Sing gompa. The area has a Buddhist monastery and a small cheese factory. Stay overnight at lodge.
Today the trail goes through two parts. At first the trail steeply climbs up to a ridge that marks the transition zone between rich, moist mountain forest and dry scrub vegetation in the slopes. The trail offers the magical vista across Langtang valley to Langtang Lirung. In the west one can witness dramatic view of Ganesh Himal and Manaslu. The path up to Lauribinayak is quite steep and continues for three hours. From Lauribinayak the trail climbs to alpine zone above the tree line. Ultimately the trail descends to the first of three lakes, Saraswati Kund. The second is Bhairab Kund and the third is Gosain kunda. According to Hindu mythology, Gosainkunda Lake was created by Lord Shiva when he threw his trident in a glacier to get water to quench thirst after swallowing the poison that was supposed to destroy the world. Stay overnight at camp.
Today you will trek to Therapati via Lauribina Pass. After having an early morning breakfast you will start the trek. The trial goes through the sore of the lake and then ascends towards the Laurebina Pass 4610m. From here, the trial starts descending towards the southeast. The trial follows a rocky path for an hour and then reaches to some herder’s hut made up of stone. Then after the trial again descends down. You will cross two waterfalls, several streams and another stone hut on the way. After that you will climb a ridge that takes you to Ghopte and then again descends down where you will see some caves and then passes through a thick rhododendron and pine forests. You will cross another stream and a final ascent will take you to Tharepati. (3490m). Overnight at Tharepati.
After having breakfast at Tharepati the trek begins. You will trek to Kutumsang today. The trial today offers the beautiful panoramic views of the mountains which include beautiful Annapurna and Manaslu Ranges along with the beautiful forest blanketed with rhododendron trees. Overnight at Tharepati.
You will have our breakfast at Kutumsang early in the morning and start our trek. The trek begins with a wonderful sunrise view over the sparkling White Mountains. Today we will trek to Chisapani which is also one of the famous destinations of Nepal. The trek today is about six to seven hours. You can see beautiful birds along the way to Chisapani. The views from Chisapani are breathtaking. It is better if you can reach there before sunset so that you can admire the sunset view. Overnight at Chisapani.
You will wake with the seeing the view of the beautiful Himalayas. Chispani is one of the best hillstation of Nepal. The views frome here are truly breathtaking and the sunset and sunrise views are cherished by everyone visiting this place. After having breakfast you will trek to Sundarijal descending down crossing several Tamang Villages and forests. You will cross the Mulkharka village and Shivapuri National Park. From Sundarijal you will drive to Kathmandu which takes about an hour. Overnight at Kathmandu.

Sometimes the trek ends before the scheduled itinerary due to several reasons regarding health or any other personal issues of the trekkers. If in case, early termination of the trek happens please note that we cannot offer refunds for unused days. It is because we have to pay the committed amount to our porters, guides and other team members.
Our clients must have their insurance and the insurance must cover the expenses of accidents, health, emergency evacuation, lost of gears, etc.
The departure scheduled would be changed on any unavoidable circumstance like weather hazards, trail slides, soil erosion, avalanches, sudden sickness, etc. The program can be customized as per the interest of the clients.
