You can't get the stunning view of Everest from Island Peak but you can enjoy other surrounding peak of Everest Region like  Nuptse (7,879m.), Lhotse (8,501m.), Lhotse Middle Peak (8,410m.) and Lhotse Shar (8,383m.)

As the elevation of Island Peak is only 6165 m and the supplemental oxygen is only used over 8000 m, there is no requirement of oxygen, but porter always carry the oxygen cylinder for emergency situation.

Primarily, the optimal seasons for Island Peak climbing are autumn and spring. During these periods, you can expect clear and favorable weather conditions that significantly enhance the chances of a successful summit attempt without any disruptions.

During the sunny days, temperature rises up to 20 degree celsius where as morning and night are coldest  with minimum temperature -10 degree celsius.
