Upper Mustang & Jomsom: The Forbidden Kingdom
Hidden behind the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, Upper Mustang was closed to outsiders until 1992. It lies in the rain shadow, so it is one of the few Himalayan regions you can visit during the monsoon. A restricted-area permit and a licensed guide are required; we arrange both.

Which is the most popular trek in Nepal? The Everest Base Camp Trek, followed by the Annapurna Base Camp and Ghorepani Poon Hill treks.
Do I need trekking experience? Not for Easy and Moderate trips like Poon Hill, Everest View or ABC. For Strenuous and Technical trips, regular hiking and good fitness are recommended.
Can I climb a 6,000 m peak as a beginner? Yes. Island Peak, Lobuche East and Mera Peak include training on the trip. You need strong fitness and previous high-altitude trekking is a big advantage.
