Today we will head to the east of Thimpu. In this journey we will move into the western slopes of Dochu La. Then we will enter into the mixed forest of hemlock, fir, oak, blossoming magnolias, and rhododendrons and many more. Then in this forest we can see many Birds like Golden Bush Robin, an immaculate Cutia, Brown Parrotbill, and gorgeous FiretailedMyzornis. Overnight at hotel
Today we will travel in braided river channel and move the edge of the forest and explore some of the small patches of cultivation. Then we can see many species of bird like as Blood Pheasant, Spotted Laughingthrush, Yellowish bellied Bush Warbler, Rusty flanked Treecreeper, and White winged Grosbeak. Overnight at hotel
We will have our breakfast at Gangtey and then continue our journey further. We will drive to Trongsa today through the east west highway to Pele La Pass at 3420m. You can see the pass marked by prayer flags. If you are lucky enough and the day is clear you can get a chance to see Jumolhari, Kangbum and Jichu Drake. Leaving the Pass behind we will enter the tradidional eastern region of Bhutan and the gradually pass through different villages like through Kgebji village, Sephu village, Chendebji village. after that we will pass through some farm villages and narrow valleys which eventually widens as we drive further to Mangde River Valley. After driving about two hours from Gangtey we will reach Trongsa Dzong. Tronsa Dzong is one of the most beautiful Dzon in Bhutan built in 1644. This Dzong is also known as architectural masterpiece inn Bhutan. We can see various species of birds here. Overnight at Tronsa Dzong.
We will have our breakfast at Trongsa today. After breakfast we will start our drive to Punakha. The drive is about 4 hours. We will be stopping at some places for bird watching and to enjoy the views. we can observe beautiful birds and views in the way.
Today after Breakfast we will visit Punakha Dzong which is located between two river Pho Chu (male) and Mo Chu (female). Then we will roam around the bank of this two river Pho Chu and Mo Chu. In this we can see many birds like colored minivets, noisy StraitedLaughingthrushes and may also see more Red headed Trogon, and Wedge tailed pigeon and many more.
Today we will move to Chela La early in the morning. this region we can see birds like Mona and Blood Pheasant while on the drive and on a walk. Overnight at hotel
Today we will drive to north of Paro valley and when we reach to Ramthangkha then we will start to hike. Then we will visit Tiger’s Nest.
Today we will have our breakfast and then will drive early to the airport and return home
Altitude Sickness: The main and common risk while trekking above about 2500m is Altitude sickness. Altitude sickness is caused by acute exposure to low partial pressure of oxygen at high altitude. The available amount of oxygen to sustain mental and physical alertness decreases with altitude. Available oxygen drops as the air density itself, the number of molecules (of both oxygen and nitrogen) per given volume, drops as altitude increases. So don’t ignore, if you have any symptoms then descending to a lower altitude is the only option.
