Actual Adventure Pvt. Ltd. has designed special Mustang Jeep Drive tour package to visit Mustang region. We have designed this special package for those people who want to visit Upper Mustang within short time without trekking and also for those people whose physical condition are not so well but want to visit Upper Mustang.
Mustang Jeep Drive tour package is based on Jeep drives in the hidden kingdom, Upper Mustang. Upper Mustang is situated on northwest frontier bordering Tibet, the main attraction of mustang is Ancient caves, historic monasteries, archaeological areas, breathtaking landscapes, natural beauty and observe the Tibetan cultures in Nepal.
Upper Mustang Jeep Drive takes you to the hidden Kingdom of Lo which was not in touch with Nepal for hundreds of years. The people here still has their own officially recognized King who has his home in the capital called Lo Manthang. In this trek you can encounter the lifestyles of the real mountain people with distinct cultures and traditions. The people of Upper Mustang are highly influenced by the Tibet and this Kingdom is also known as Little Tibet.
Upper Mustang Trek Permit
Upper Mustang is one of the highly conserved trekking destinations in the world. The region was restricted for foreign visitors until 1992. Even until recent time the trekkers need special trekking permit to visit this region. The special trekking permit for Upper Mustang costs USD 500 for 9 nights and 10 days and an additional USD 50 per day is charged for extra day. You will also need to have Annapurna Conservation Area permit as well. The ACAP permit costs NPR 226 for the citizens of SAARC countries and NPR 2260 for citizens outside the SAARC countries.
Day-by-day itinerary
Day1 Arrival at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (1,345 m), Transfer to a Hotel. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (elevation: 1,345 meters or 4,413 feet), you will be greeted by the Actual Adventure Pvt. Ltd's representative or guide who will assist you through the immigration and customs process. After completing the necessary formalities, you will be transferred to your pre-arranged hotel in Kathmandu.
Arrival Assistance: Upon exiting the plane, you'll follow the signs to immigration. Make sure to have your passport, visa, and arrival card (given on the plane) ready. The immigration process usually involves having your passport stamped and your visa checked. Afterward, you'll proceed to the baggage claim area to collect your luggage.
Customs and Baggage Claim: Once you've collected your luggage, you'll proceed to the customs area. Customs in Nepal is generally straightforward, but it's important to declare any items you're bringing into the country, especially if they exceed the allowed limits.
Meeting the Representative/Guide: As you exit the airport, you'll find your representative from the Actual Adventure Pvt. Ltd. They will be holding a sign with your name or the name of the Actual Adventure Pvt. Ltd. They'll welcome you, provide you with important information about the upcoming tour, and answer any immediate questions you may have.
Transfer to Hotel: After meeting your guide, you'll be escorted to a comfortable vehicle for your transfer to the hotel. During the drive, your guide might provide you with an overview of the city, share some local insights, and offer tips for your stay in Kathmandu.
Hotel Check-in: Upon arriving at your hotel, you'll proceed with the check-in process. The hotel staff will assist you with completing the necessary paperwork and provide you with room keys. You'll also receive information about the hotel's amenities, dining options, and any scheduled activities.
Free Time and Rest: After checking in, you'll have the remainder of the day to rest, recover from your journey, and adjust to the new time zone. Depending on your arrival time and energy level, you might want to explore the local area around your hotel, engage in some light activities, or simply relax in your room.
Overnight Stay: You'll spend the night at the hotel in Kathmandu, allowing you to recharge for the upcoming adventures in Nepal.

In the morning, after breakfast at your hotel, your tour representative or guide will assist you in obtaining the necessary permits for your upcoming Upper Mustang jeep drive tour. This may include the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and the Special Restricted Area Permit for Upper Mustang. Your guide will ensure that all required paperwork is in order before you set off on your journey.
Preparation:
After obtaining the permits, you'll have some time to prepare for your adventure. Today is the first day of our journey to Upper Mustang.
Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will embark on a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara by jeep. The journey will take approximately 6 to 7 hours, during which we'll traverse diverse landscapes, pass through charming villages, and witness the changing scenery as we descend in elevation. The route offers glimpses of Nepal's countryside, lush valleys, and, weather permitting, stunning Himalayan views.
Lunch Break:
We'll stop for a lunch break at a local restaurant on the way. This will provide an opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal and take a break from the drive.
Arrival in Pokhara:
In the afternoon, we'll arrive in Pokhara, a city renowned for its serene lakes, vibrant culture, and panoramic mountain views. Our guide will accompany us to our hotel.

Upon reaching our hotel in Pokhara, we'll go through the check-in process. The hotel staff will assist us with any necessary paperwork and offer information about the facilities available.
Free Time in Pokhara:
After checking in and freshening up, we'll have the remainder of the day to explore Pokhara at our leisure. We might want to stroll along the lakeside promenade, indulge in some lakeside shopping, or simply relax and soak in the tranquil atmosphere that Pokhara provides.

Day4 Drive from Pokhara to Jomsom (2743 m: nearly 6 hours of drive). Overnight stay in Jomsom.

In the early morning, we'll depart from our hotel in Pokhara and set out for a scenic drive to Jomsom. The drive will cover a distance of approximately 6 hours and take us to an elevation of 2,743 meters (8,999 feet).

Arrival in Jomsom:

Day5 Drive from Jomsom to Chuksang (3040 m: 3-4 hours). Overnight stay in Chuksang.
After a restful night in Jomsom, we'll continue our journey deeper into the Mustang region. Today's drive will take us from Jomsom to Chuksang, covering a distance of approximately 3 to 4 hours and ascending to an elevation of 3,040 meters (9,974 feet).
Departure from Jomsom: In the morning, we'll depart from our hotel in Jomsom and embark on the drive toward Chuksang. The road will lead us through the mesmerizing landscapes of the Kali Gandaki River valley.
Scenic Drive: The drive will offer stunning views of the rugged mountains, rocky terrain, and the unique Mustang scenery. We'll traverse through picturesque villages, where we might catch glimpses of traditional Mustang architecture and lifestyle.

Early Termination of A Trek.
Sometimes the trek ends before the scheduled itinerary due to several reasons regarding health or any other personal issues of the trekkers. If in case, early termination of the trek happens please note that we cannot offer refunds for unused days. It is because we have to pay the committed amount to our porters, guides and other team members.
Insurance:
Our clients must have their insurance and the insurance must cover the expenses of accidents, health, emergency evacuation, lost of gears, etc.
Program Change/ Delay:
The departure scheduled would be changed on any unavoidable circumstance like weather hazards, trail slides, soil erosion, avalanches, sudden sickness, etc. The program can be customized as per the interest of the clients.

Visa in Nepal can be acquired on arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu and also at the border entry points in Kakadvitta, Birgunj, Bhairahawa, Nepalgunj, Gaddachowki border of Nepal - India and Kodari on Nepal-China border. Visa can also acquire at the nearest Nepal Embassy. For visa renewal purpose you can contact at Department of Immigration, Kalikasthan at Kathmandu. A valid passport and one passport -size photo with a light background is required. Visa can be obtained only through payment of cash in the following currency: Euro, Swiss Franc, Pound Sterling, US Dollar, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Hong Kong Dollar, Singapore Dollar and Japanese Yen. Credit card, Indian currency and Nepali currency are not accepted as payment of visa fee.
