Chitwan

Chitwan, meaning "Heart of the Jungle," is a lowland region in Nepal that boasts a tropical climate and is famous for its biodiversity. It is approximately 170 km southwest of Kathmandu and easily accessible by road or a short flight. Chitwan National Park, established in 1973, is the crown jewel of the area, covering an area of 932 square kilometers.

This region is home to endangered species such as the one-horned rhinoceros and Bengal tiger, as well as a variety of flora and fauna, rivers, and grasslands. Additionally, the indigenous Tharu community adds a unique cultural flavor to the region.
