However, it is possible to take a helicopter flight from Gorakshep. If you are at Everest Base Camp, you can retrace your steps to Gorakshep and take a helicopter ride from the Gorakshep Helipad. It is also possible to take a helicopter flight from Kalapatthar.

Yes, of course. In higher elevations, there is either limited digital payment or no means for online payment, which creates problems in paying your bills. So, bring some Nepali currency with you so that you can pay your bills easily.

You can exchange money into Nepali currency at a money exchange shop, which will provide you with an excellent currency rate.

The distance of 130 km is based on the standard itinerary via Namche, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, and Everest Base Camp, which is from Lukla to Lukla. However, the one-way distance from Lukla to Everest Base Camp (EBC) is approximately 65 kilometers (40 miles), which is completed in 7-8 days as you will return by helicopter on your final day. The daily trek will cover an average distance of around 12 km with 6-7 hours of walking.

Obviously, you may face  a language barrier when dealing with local people. However, since the route to Everest is a tourist site and a business route, even local people can easily communicate in English. If your English is weak, our company can provide you with a professional translator or guide who will help you throughout the journey. 

The trek starts from Lukla, although your journey to Everest Base Camp will begin from Kathmandu with a flight to Lukla. On your second day, you will arrive at Namche Bazaar in the evening, where you will stay for one more day for acclimatization.  

The primary trekking seasons are pre-monsoon (spring) from late April to early June and post-monsoon (autumn) from late September to early November. During the peak trekking season, you will experience more crowding in the Everest region, whereas it seems less crowded during the other season.

Tips are the amount of money given to guides and porters to appreciate their hard work. This appreciation will help to encourage them to work in their own country and also promote tourism in Nepal. However, it is a personal choice and not compulsory.

I recently finished the Everest Base Camp Trek with Actual Adventure.
